Even if we lend some credence to the idea that unattributed research assistants committed all the fraud, that opens a number of serious questions. Most notably, why did multiple different research assistants at two different universities all commit fraud over the course of 8-9 years? Why didn't Harvard's lengthy investigation not find others to pin the blame on?
Occam's Razor applies. The simplest explanation is that Gino is the fraudster.
Saying there is "zero chance" is ridiculous. There are multiple lines of independent evidence all pointing towards her being guilty.
